During the Accounting coursework, college students will learn about accounting theory in the classroom and get hands-on experience with basic accounting principles. Then students move on to more advanced topics including tax law, financial statements, and auditing. During the Accounting program, our school instructors offer guidance that prepares students for entry-level positions in payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger. Throughout the training, college students will also gain soft skills like communication and analytical skills that will support their knowledge of accounting.
Professional Business Applications
The Professional Business Applications portion of the program supplements the accounting coursework with office software. College students will get real world experience with applications like QuickBooks Pro and business software like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. These software suites allow students to perform the necessary accounting tasks delegated to an entry-level accountant or bookkeeper. After completing the program, graduates will be certified in Microsoft Office.
